Yip thats me! - It was a bit wet and cold that week end to put it mildly - a hot bath has never felt so good as it did after that dig! I am hoping to do the sunday on this bank holiday dig. Unfortunately I can't do any of the other days but with any luck I can do that sunday, so I hope to see you there.

I remember you from the frost bit, snow covered trenches in Farnham back in May, I am so pleased you decided to sign up, it's a great course!

As it happens I am waiting for my AS result in the post today, am nipping home at lunchtime, how scary!).

Thanks for the support, bit slow replying as fairly busy at the moment but managing to sort of keep up, on to lesson 3 now and enjoying it! I've found my 50 min commute to and from work is very useful for reading through notes although carring reference books is a little on the heavy side so I have left them at home! Hi all
I have just started the A level course in Archaeology today. I have been interested in the subject for a long time and never did any thing about it. I left school 20yrs ago so hope I can get back in to the swing of things.
Any one else just started?

I'd completely forgotten about this website until I mentioned it in another post, and thought others might find it useful if they don't know about it.
 
http://www.ilovethepast.com/ is a searchable web site that allows you to look for digs open to the public. You can do a quick search by region, or you can use the Advanced Search to find digs by county or town.
 
It also covers museums, castles and other historic visitor sites.

Hello Sniffy - welcome!
 
I'm just trying to polish off the AS Level Archaeology syllabus, after 17 months of study. Thankfully, the course is very flexible and fits round whatever unexpected nonsense life (and the boss!) throws at you.
 
I've really been enjoying it, even though I haven't had the time I'd hoped to dedicate to it - very frustrating, but I know it's always there to come back to. I've even been able to do the odd 15 minutes during lunch breaks at work.

Not sure about hols, but I know that Lynne gets involved with exam marking, so there may be delays around those times. It's not been unusual for me to have two or three bits of coursework returned at once. Don't worry - it does all get done.

When you send in work or any kind of email, you should get an automated response acknowledging receipt. As long as you have those, then you can be sure that your work has reached Lynne.
